dear edelman team.

hi! i’m kelly.

I grew up writing scrappy, culture-sharp stories and turned that into a copywriting career. My work lives in zines, stunts, and client campaigns that balance playfulness with strategy.

I studied advertising at book180. My first campaigns class was with Mike Otero, who is now at Edelman. Fated? Perhaps. He taught that the best advertising feels authentic and serves people.

Mike introduced me to the FCB internship program where this summer, I worked as an Associate Copywriting Intern at FCB Chicago. I contributed to live campaigns for Discover, Harley Davidson, Clorox, Glad and Nature’s Path. My copy went live within weeks and left clients asking for more, and I learned how to deliver creative work that balances storytelling with strategic rigor. Now I’m looking to bring that same energy to Edelman Chicago, the global leader in earned trust.

I’m drawn to Edelman because I believe what you believe: if a brand isn’t trusted, the advertising doesn’t matter. Trust is the floor everything else stands on.

Edelman has shown for 25 years that credibility is what carries culture, and that’s the kind of work I want to make. That’s why I want to bring my mix of craft, process, and cultural cuteness to Edelman.

I’d love the chance to share my book and talk more about how I could contribute to the team.

Love,

Kelly
